Mountaineer, ski alpinist, and mountain guide Róbert Gálfy is one of the last “Mohicans” of the golden age of alpinism. His rich and layered life story intertwines with major international successes of Slovak ski mountaineering as well as with several pioneering ascents of Czechoslovak climbers in the 1980s. From passion and athletic performance, his path leads through a battle with serious health issues to a sincere reflection on his relationship with the mountains — and with life itself.
